Devising an information architecture system that enables an organization to centralize information regarding its operational, managerial and strategic performance is one of the challenges currently facing information technology. The present study aimed to analyze an information architecture system developed using Business Intelligence (BI) technology. The analysis was performed based on a questionnaire enquiring as to whether the information needs of executives were met during the process. A theoretical framework was applied consisting of information architecture and BI technology, using a case study methodology. Results indicated that the transaction processing systems studied did not meet the information needs of company executives. Information architecture using data warehousing, online analytical processing (OLAP) tools and data mining may provide a more agile means of meeting these needs. However, some items must be included and others modified, in addition to improving the culture of information use by company executives

The objective of this paper was to revalidate the Mobile Users' Information Privacy Concerns scale (MUIPC) to the Brazilian context, by comparing the results obtained to those of the North American context. The quantitative study was composed of a sample of 309 Brazilian respondents, who answered via web the retro-transcribed questions of the MUIPC scale. Data were analysed to the exploratory factorial analysis and the results obtained resembled one of the previous surveys, with North American respondents. The main contribution of the study was the adaptation of a measurement scale of the concern with the privacy of mobile devices users’ information in the Portuguese language, which could help Brazilian researchers in investigations in the national context.O objetivo desta pesquisa foi revalidar a escala Mobile Users' Information Privacy Concerns (MUIPC) ao contexto brasileiro, comparando os resultados obtidos aos do contexto norte-americano.

In this study, the objective is to perform content analysis on articles of a reliable database, dealing with the prospect theory and the risks involved in the decision making process, evaluating some criteria for the theoretical and methodological approaches that allow a joint analysis and comparative. Therefore, a search in ProQuest database was performed which resulted in 15 articles that were submitted to content analysis process, based on the evaluation of nine factors identified by researchers. Among the results highlight the critical attitude to the prospect theory, in contrast to the assertion of his representative capacity of real situations and application in various situations.

Future Intention to disclose personal information via mobile apps

This study analyses the future intention to disclose personal information in order to use mobile applications (apps) and the framing effect in relation to privacy concerns. To test the effects, an experiment was conducted involving 405 participants, using a single-factor design with independent groups and covariates. The results indicate concern about privacy is negatively related to the future intention, confirming the effects of framing on future intention, with the effect being negative in relation to the negative framing of trust beliefs and positive in relation to the positive framing of risk beliefs, while the moderating effect was not confirmed. Thus, this paper contributes to two specific areas: 1) privacy, because it confirms the relationship between information privacy concerns and future intention (new proposed scale); and 2) decision-making, as it demonstrates the effects of framing on risk and trust beliefs in future intentions, which, as far as is known, has not previously been shown.

Project Management and Strategic Management are two subjects of major relevance within the corporate environment, despite usually being treated separately, at organizations. However, for Westphal et al. (2008) one of the ways to link project management and strategy is through project management maturity, and to this effect, a series of actions that can be characterized as critical factors (Rabechini Jr. & Pessoa, 2005) are required. Another way of seeking this connection is by means of the strategic map concept which, according to Kaplan and Norton (2004, p.10), “represents the lost link between strategy formulation and the execution of the strategy”. In this study the purpose is to evaluate the applicability of a strategic map, from a critical factors perspective, on project management maturity, as proposed by Silva Jr. and Luciano (2010). Thus a qualitative and exploratory approach case study was conducted at a large financial institution, where three interview scripts were applied on nine professionals, whereby three were leaders, three were project managers and three, functional managers. Furthermore, a graphical representation standard was designed picturing possible situations concerning the applicability of strategic objectives of the map proposed in the case under study. As a result, an important academic contribution to the vague and scarce literature on the relationship between project management and organizational strategy was verified, in addition to mapping possibilities of improvements for the organization, which otherwise might have been impossible to identify.
